Join us for drinks with the Rt Hon Sir Mel Stride, Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer

What: Mel will be giving us his individual take on the political situation post the local elections and there will be an opportunity to ask him questions directly.
A range of alcoholic and soft drinks will be served, accompanied by a selection of delicious canapés.

Mel Stride was elected to Parliament in 2010 for Central Devon and was previously Secretary of State for Work and Pensions in the cabinet. He was appointed Shadow Chancellor by Kemi Badenoch after she was elected leader of the Conservative Party. Stride is seen as an increasingly strong and competent performer in the Commons and unsurprisingly as a former businessman promotes a return to sound economics and instituting much leaner government.
